Bestmed is a medical aid scheme that offers their members extra value when joining the Dis-Chem Benefit Programme.
How do you register for the Bestmed benefit?
- All Bestmed main members are automatically registered for the Dis-Chem Benefit Programme. All you need to do is pick up your Dis-Chem & Bestmed Benefit Card in store and start shopping.
- Only Bestmed main members will qualify for the extra benefits at Dis-Chem.
What are the benefits to Bestmed members?
Over and above the Dis-Chem Benefit Programme, Bestmed members can also visit their local Dis-Chem pharmacy for the following Bestmed benefits:

As a Bestmed customer you will earn an additional 1% back on your purchases meaning you will earn 2.5% back in Dis-Chem Benefit rewards (note that the usual product exclusions apply)

- Free Health Risk Assessments (HRA) at any Dis-Chem Clinic including:
lifestyle questionnaire

Bestmed Tempo Wellness benefits available at Dis-Chem include:
3 Consultations per baby per year at a Dis-Chem clinic where a professional nurse measures your baby’s height, weight and head circumference.
Other Bestmed Tempo Wellness benefits that members can get from Bestmed Wellness Network Providers include:
- 1 nutritional assessment for the whole family
- 1 functional consultation with an occupational therapist for your child (3–12 years)
- 1 fitness assessment with a biokineticist for your child (13 –17 years)
- 3 consultations with a dietician per member/dependant 18 years and older
- 3 consultations with a biokineticist per member/dependant 18 years and older
