How does it work?
A gel is formed through an exchange of calcium ions from the wound dressing with sodium ions in the wound exudate. The exudate is bound, and bacteria and cell debris are absorbed into the dressing. When the dressing is removed the exudate, bacteria and cell debris are removed with the dressing.
Application
Used to treat decubitus ulcers and leg ulcers, skin donor sites and cavity wounds. To be used in conjunction with Pharmaplast Film Dressing, orPharmaplast PU Foam Dressing.
